Elizabeth's Blog
I have had several questions about Elizabeth's blog.  After years of struggling with her blog. Elizabeth decided to stop blogging as part of simplifying her life.  She thanks all those who read her blog but that chapter needs to be closed.  I will continue to post on this blog.  Hopefully a bit more frequently than this past year.

Candi Family Christmas
As mentioned below we had a family Christmas on the 24th.  Candi does not play well with others so she was banished to the bedroom.  She made the most of the situation and found a nice comfortable spot on the pillows.

Merry Christmas
Well it is 2:45 Christmas afternoon.  Effectively, Christmas 2012 is over.  For me it was good in some regards but not so good in others.

On the 22nd we went to a weeding reception for some friends.  We did not attend the actual wedding as it was a very small ceremony mostly for family.  We did see a number of people we knew at the reception and had a very good time.

Elizabeth even got to see Santa

Yesterday, we had family Christmas.  Bryan and his family and Bridget with her family visited.  We had something to eat and open gifts.  It was a lot of fun.  It was also a step in recovery for me.  Since it was family, I invited my ex to attend also.  This was the first time we actually had to interact since we were divorced.  It went very well.  Elizabeth was a most gracious host.

This morning Elizabeth, Candi and I had our Christmas.  Candi loves to rip tissue paper.  I must have been on the Nice list as Santa was very good to me.

The not so nice part is Elizabeth has been sick.  She has had a cough and the past several days it has gotten much worse.  Tomorrow we will go to the doctor.  Hopefully he can get her some relief.

Late this morning we started returning our house to normal.  While the tree is still up most of the other decorations have been packed away until 2013.  The holidays are always wonderful to celebrate but it is also very good to get back to normal.

Hope you had a very Merry Christmas.

Dec 22
We have been busy with the Christmas season.  I have been on vacation all week.  On Thursday we made Christmas cookies.  Candi even helped but she does not look too happy about it.  She did like eating them.

Her favorites were those shaped like squirrels.

Saturday was a very busy day.  Elizabeth went to her a manicure and pedicure in the morning.  Then we came home and had lunch.  After lunch we both got hair cuts and ran a few errands.  One was to stop at the Honey Baked Ham store to get some ham for Christmas Eve.  After a few errands we came home and rested.  That evening we went to a wedding reception.  Here we are all dressed up.  Elizabeth looked so nice.  We saw looks of friends there.

Today we have some last minute shopping.  In fact I need to get Elizabeth up as she wants to be at Target when they open.  We have busy Christmas Eve planned with family visiting to open gifts.

Have a very Merry Christmas
