Just a quick update to let all know I am still alive.
Things are going well here. Pretty much quiet routine days.
Tonight for supper I had chicken salad, pineapple, carrots and olives. Elizabeth decided to have some fun with supper and the result was this
Yes that is a rattle snake. Actually there are six types of venomous snakes native to Harris county. That is why cowboy wear boots when walking through fields.

I rode my bike 48 miles this morning. On Fridays I ride through several neighborhoods, through the local university grounds and then on a bike path. This helps me avoid major traffic. On week ends I ride other road including the highway access road. A couple of weeks ago I was riding and passed this little fellow

After breakfast I worked on the lawn. Then we had lunch and ran some errands. Once back home we rested. Then had supper mentioned above.
This evening I will be going to a meeting.

I talked with my son and after 11 month in country he has started the process of leaving Afghanistan. It will be several weeks before he actually leaves and a couple of weeks after that before he gets home. It takes him longer as he also has to do all the paper work for his dog. That is a working dog. But the good news is he will no longer be going out on missions. When their missions were to find hidden explosives, that is a very big relief. We can't wait to see him.
