Yesterday, Feb 17, was a busy day. It was raining so there would be no bike ride. Even if it was not raining I would not have time to ride. I got up at my normal time, about 4:30 and did some computer and financial work. Then about 6:30 I took a shower and then got Elizabeth up. This is much earlier than she normally gets up on a Friday but we had things to do. After eating. I took Elizabeth for her doctor's appointment. This was mainly to review results from some blood tests she had done. Basically it was good news. Her vitamin D was low but that is due to us getting almost no sun over the past few weeks. She also has gained 10 pounds. For her that is very good news. I will not reveal her actual weight but that gain does put her into triple digits. The big problem we have is that as of April 21, our insurance will no longer pay at this clinic. We are very upset about this. The insurance company wants to make more profit at the expense of patient care.
After that we went to our tax guy's office to drop off the tax stuff. Normally I do our taxes but for 2011 we have a complicated return so we felt it best to have it done.
From there we stopped at the lawyer's office. In 2010 when we sold our house, we agreed to carry the loan for the new buyers. It went well for a while but then we started having problems. The most recent is they did not pay the property taxes so we paid. The lawyer sent them a letter demanding payment but they did not pay. So now we have to start foreclosure process. One reason they have not paid is he was in jail for the second half of last year. As we were researching that we discovered she has filed for support payments. To do that they must no longer be married. It is funny as she made the Feb mortgage payment. She no longer lives at the house and we wonder if she even knows the taxes are in default. What a mess.
The next stop was the library. And then it was home for lunch. After lunch I had to go to my doctor's office for an infusion. This was actually a second follow up infusion. The week before when I went for my scheduled infusion, I found they had a work in patient and they gave some of my medicine to him. I only got 80% of the medicine I needed. I was quite mad.
After I got home, the telephone repair guy came. Recently we switched from having Comcast provide our phone, television and computer to AT&T Uverse. Comcast kept charging more and more for less and less. From the start we had problems with Uverse phone. Several times Elizabeth would be talking on the phone and the connection would just drop. It would take hours for the connection to return. We had Uverse come out and try to fix it once but no success. So we switched our phone back to an old fashion analog wire connection. Funny how sometimes the old stuff works the best.
After that we had supper then I went to my normal Friday meeting.
Now that was a full day.
